Onyeka takes the throne as first solo HoH and housemates plead their cases – BBNaija
The No Loose Guard housemates experienced a wave of firsts on Monday evening as the game took a sharp turn. With the unpairing of the housemates, the competition intensified, leading to the season’s first solo Head of House challenge and the chance for housemates to plead their cases to the audience.
Onyeka emerges as first solo HoH
In a thrilling solo Head of House challenge, the housemates faced off in a series of obstacle courses, each vying for the coveted HoH title. Onyeka outpaced her competitors, becoming the first solo HoH of the season. As the new Head of House, she selected her sister, Chizoba, as her guest to enjoy the perks of the HoH condo, a move that hints at strong familial ties in the face of growing competition.
Reintroducing themselves
With the dissolution of the pairs, Big Brother gave the housemates a unique opportunity to reintroduce themselves to the public. This meant they had to campaign in the diary room, making their case to stay in the game. One by one, the housemates entered, each with their own strategy to win over the audience. While some took the assignment seriously, other housemates like Ben and Chizoba added a touch of humour to their pleading. In Ben’s case, he begged for a chance to continue “flenjo-ing” in the house. Chizoba, displaying newfound confidence, even got on her knees to plead for votes. Sooj admitted he wasn’t ready to go home, while Topher and Victoria promised they had more to give.
After the housemates poured their hearts out, Biggie laid down the law, announcing that from now on, conspiracy and pleading for votes within the house would no longer be tolerated.
No more leniency
Big Brother also took the opportunity to tighten the reins, issuing stern warnings against rule-breaking. Whispering, microphone infringement, speaking in codes, blocking doors, and damaging Big Brother’s property are now grounds for strikes. The housemates got a taste of Biggie’s new no-nonsense approach during the HoH challenge when Sooj was disqualified for receiving cheers from his boo, Nelly, a clear violation of the no-cheering rule.
The game has been reset and as the competition grows fiercer, the No Loose Guard housemates must play the game taking care not to break any of Biggie’s rules because in the No Loose Guard house, anything can happen.
